Connecting Arts & The Public
The Kashmiri Arts Forum is a Midlands based arts organizations that supports and engages freelancers and arts groups with the aim of quarterly events that help highlight, showcase and network the cities vibrant Kashmiri and related south Asian arts community.
The Forum will work actively to engage South Asian based urban arts and freelancers across Birmingham and midlands to create access to cultural exchanges for artists and media organisations often excluded from or on the fringes of the mainstream arts community.
The Kashmiri Arts Forum will facilitate cultural expression and visibility with the many diverse communities that make up Birmingham, working with people from a range of ages, cultural heritages and art form interests including performing, visual and new media art organisations and development.
The development of collaborations and partnership is core to what the Kashmiri Arts Forum aims to achieve with arts/media organisations, freelancers, agencies, and local authorities to develop and create a rich portfolio of work with deep and lasting cultural legacy and artistic growth. Each meetup will be hosted at a new venue to help introduce artists to Birmingham amazing venues and platforms.
